Can I get a visa for Turkey on arrival?

A visa on arrival can only be obtained by eligible travelers. At this time, the visa on arrival is only available for nationals of Croatia, the U.S., Belgium, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain and North Korea under special conditions.

However, Turkey introduced the Turkey e-Visa for citizens of over 90 countries, including nationals of the countries mentioned above. The Republic of Turkey announced that as of October 28th, 2018, the visa on arrival kiosks would be discontinued at the Istanbul airport, and that travelers should be applying for the e-Visa before traveling to Turkey.

Instead of landing in Istanbul and standing in line to get a visa on arrival, eligible citizens can get their e-Visa a few days prior to their trip.
