Turkey is a country of vast natural beauty, a rich history and exuberant cultures. There are number of historical sites in Turkey that tourists visit every year and the warm hospitality of the locals there attracts people from all over the world to experience the country for themselves.
Accordingly, the Turkish Government has introduced new measures in order to allow more tourists to visit the country each year. Now, citizens of over 100 countries will be able to the obtain a Turkish e-Visa online without having to go through a Turkish embassy or consulate.
Poland is on the list of 100 countries whose citizens are eligible to apply for an eVisa if they plan to visit the country for business, tourism or transit purposes. It is relatively easier to obtain than before as the traveler does not need to visit a local embassy or consulate but rather can obtain a visa by submitting an online application form. The time required to apply for and obtain a visa has been significantly reduced with the electronic travel authorization system that allows Polish citizens to obtain a visa in a matter of a few days.
It must be noted that all foreign visitors to Turkey need to obtain some type of visa in order to enter the country. The Turkish Government offers different types of tourist visas depending on their nationality and the specific reasons they have for traveling to the country. Therefore, it is important for travelers to make sure that they go through the list of different types of tourist visas offered by the Turkish Government and apply for one that most closely suits the purpose of their visit.
Turkey Visa Requirements for Polish Citizens
The Turkish Government requires that all foreigners visiting the country fulfill certain requirements before applying for an online eVisa. Travelers must make sure they meet these basic requirements in order to successfully apply for a Turkish eVisa. All travelers are required to have a passport that will be valid for at least 150 days from the date of their arrival in Turkey.
Additionally, each traveler must possess a valid email address and valid debit/credit card information to have their application processed.
It is important for travelers to ensure that they have the required validity on their passport for traveling to Turkey, otherwise they risk having their eVisa application rejected. If the traveler believes that his/her passport will not have the required validity for their travel to Turkey, then he/she may want to consider renewing toverheir passport before beginning the application process.
Application Process for Polish Citizens
Once the traveler has determined that he/she fulfills all the basic requirements in order to apply for a Turkish eVisa, he/she can then begin application process by accessing the Turkish e-Visa website. The traveler will have to navigate to the link on the main page, which opens up the eVisa application form.
The application will ask the applicant to list some biographical information such as, name, date of birth, place of birth etc. as well as some passport details such as passport number and expiration date.
In addition, the applicant will also be required to provide a valid email address where the eVisa will be sent after the application has been approved. Each traveler will be required to submit valid debit/credit card information which will be used to pay for the visa.
It is imperative that the information provided by the traveler on the application matches the information shown on his/her travel documents. Otherwise, the traveler will risk having their eVisa application rejected and may even be denied entry into Turkey on the basis of traveling with an invalid visa.Apply for e-Visa
Traveling to Turkey from Poland
Once all the applicant has filled out the online eVisa application, he/she will be able to review the application one last time before submitting it. If the traveler’s application has been approved, the eVisa will be sent to his/her via email. After the application has been submitted, it can take up to 3 business days for the applicant to receive their eVisa via email if they opted for standard processing service on their application.
Travelers are encouraged to keep a soft copy of their eVisa on their mobile phone/handheld device and also take a printed copy with them to the Turkish airport/port of entry when they travel. The travelers will have to present their eVisas to Turkish immigration control officers upon arrival in Turkey.
The eVisa may be valid for single-entry or multiple entries into Turkey. It will also allow the traveler to stay in the country between 30 to up to 90 days in the country.
