Turkey Visa for Polish Citizens

Turkey is a country of vast natural beauty, a rich history and exuberant cultures so it is no wonder that Polish holidaymakers choose it as a destination for their travels.

To facilitate international travel, the Turkish Government has introduced new measures in order to allow more tourists to visit the country each year. Citizens of over 100 countries are able to obtain a Turkish eVisa online without having to go through a Turkish embassy or consulate.

Poland used to be on the list of 100 countries whose citizens are eligible to apply for an eVisa if they plan to visit the country for business, tourism or transit purposes. The electronic visa is easier to obtain than traditional ones as the traveler does not need to visit a local embassy or consulate but rather can obtain a visa by submitting an online application form.

The time required to apply for and obtain a visa has been significantly reduced with the electronic travel authorization system that allows eligible citizens to obtain a visa in a matter of a few days. Things are gotten even easier now for Polish travelers, who no longer need to apply for a visa.

It must be noted that most foreign visitors to Turkey need to obtain some type of visa in order to enter the country. The Turkish Government offers different types of tourist visas depending on their nationality and the specific reasons they have for traveling to the country. Therefore, it is important for holidaymakers to make sure that they go through the list of different types of tourist visas offered by the Turkish Government and apply for one that most closely suits the purpose of their visit.

Turkey Visa Requirements for Polish Citizens

The Turkish Government requires that all foreigners visiting the country fulfill certain requirements before applying for an online eVisa. Travelers must make sure they meet these basic requirements in order to successfully apply for a Turkish eVisa. All travelers are required to have a passport that will be valid for at least 150 days from the date of their arrival in Turkey.

Additionally, each applicant must possess a valid email address and valid debit/credit card information to have their application processed.

It is important for visitors to ensure that they have the required validity on their passport for traveling to Turkey, otherwise they risk having their eVisa application rejected. If the petitioner believes that his/her passport will not have the required validity for their travel to Turkey, then he/she may want to consider renewing their passport before beginning the application process.

Please note:

It is no longer necessary for Polish citizens to meet the eVisa requirements. However, they must make sure that they meet the general requirements to enter Turkey visa-free before departure.

Application Process for Polish Citizens

Since Polish passport holders do not need a visa for Turkey, they do not have to complete an application. Those who require a Turkish visa may follow the process outlined below.

The visitor will have to navigate to the link on the main page, which opens up the eVisa application form.

The application will ask the applicant to list some biographical information such as name, date of birth, place of birth etc. as well as some passport details such as passport number and expiration date.

In addition, the applicant will also be required to provide a valid email address where the eVisa will be sent after the application has been approved. Each traveler will be required to submit valid debit/credit card information which will be used to pay for the visa.

It is imperative that the information provided by the traveler on the application matches the information shown on his/her travel documents. Otherwise, the traveler will risk having their eVisa application rejected and may even be denied entry into Turkey on the basis of traveling with an invalid visa.

Traveling to Turkey from Poland

Once all the applicant has filled out the online eVisa application, he/she will be able to review the application one last time before submitting it. If the traveler’s application has been approved, the eVisa will be sent to his/her via email. After the application has been sent, it can take up to 3 business days for the applicant to receive their eVisa via email if they opted for standard processing service on their application.

Travelers are encouraged to keep a soft copy of their eVisa on their mobile phone/handheld device and also take a printed copy with them to the Turkish airport/port of entry when they travel. Visitors will have to present their eVisas to Turkish immigration control officers upon arrival in Turkey.

The eVisa may be valid for single-entry or multiple entries into Turkey. It will also allow the traveler to stay in the country between 30 to up to 90 days in the country.

Those who do not need a visa, like Polish citizens, must ensure to meet the passport requirements and bring along all the necessary documents as they reach the Turkish border. Moreover, they must collaborate with the Turkish border security officers and answer any potential questions.
