Turkey is a country with an amalgamation of traditions, creativity and cuisines informed by its diverse history and geographic location linking Europe and Asia. It’s a popular destination for tourists from all over the world and recently the Turkish government has introduced new measures designed to promote travel and tourism to the country.

This allows the visa applicants to bypass having to go through a local Turkish embassy or consulate in order to obtain their visa. The Turkey eVisa is a simpler and quicker process to get the necessary authorization to travel to the country. Applying online only takes a few minutes and can be done from the comfort of the applicant’s home or office. After completing the application, the Turkey eVisa is usually approved within a matter of days. The Turkish eVisa is primarily for people intending to travel to the country for business, tourism and transit purposes.
It should be noted, however, that the Turkish government requires all foreigners interested in traveling to the country to obtain a visa. As such, the Turkish government offers a variety of visas for Turkey depending on people’s needs. Travelers are encouraged to look through the different types of visas offered by the Turkish government to see which ones best suit their travel needs. Norwegian nationals, however, are eligible to apply for the eVisa for Turkey which can be used for tourism, business and transit purposes.
