Turkey Visa for Egyptian Citizens

The process of applying for the electronic visa to Turkey is a relatively simple and straight-forward. It can be done in a less than 15 minutes and does not require the traveler to visit a local Turkish embassy or consulate. The e-Visa allows the traveler to visit Turkey for business, tourism, and transit purposes.
It is important to note that all foreigners traveling to Turkey are required to obtain a visa. There are different types of tourist visas offered by the Turkish Government for people intending to visit the country. Therefore, travelers are encouraged to look through the list of different tourist visas and select one that most closely aligns with the purpose of their visit.
What Information Do Kuwaitis Need to Apply for the Turkish e-Visa?
Kuwait is on the list of 100 countries, whose citizens are eligible to apply for a Turkish e-Visa without having to visit a local embassy or consulate. However, before beginning the application process for the Turkish online e-Visa, Kuwaiti travelers must make sure they fulfill all the basic requirements for a successful e-Visa application. These requirements include:
- Having a passport with a validity of 150 days from the date of arrival in Turkey
- A valid email address
- Valid debit/credit card information
It is worth noting that in order to ensure that the requirements are being followed, the traveler should consider renewing their passport if it does not have the required validity for traveling to Turkey. This might require the traveler to add additional time to their travel preparations ahead of their intended visit to Turkey.
How Can Kuwaiti Citizens Apply for a Turkish e-Visa?
In order to apply for an e-Visa to Turkey, Kuwaiti citizens will have to access the Turkish e-Visa online website. It will be necessary to fill out an online e-Visa application form which will ask the applicants to list certain biographical information such as, name, date of birth, country of citizenship etc., and passport information such as passport number, date of issuance etc.
Applicants will also be required to provide a valid email address where the e-Visa can be sent once the application has been approved.
There is also a processing fee associated with applying for the Turkish e-Visa that is deducted from the debit/credit card information that the applicant provides while filling out the application form.
After the applicant has filled out all the necessary details, he/she will get a chance to review the information one last time before submitting it.
It is important that the applicant fill out the Turkish e-Visa application with as much accuracy as possible. Any discrepancies between the information provided on the form and that shown on the applicant’s passport can result in the application being rejected and, in some cases, being denied entry into Turkey on the basis of having an invalid visa.
Traveling to Turkey from Kuwait
Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can expect to get an update on the status of their application within 3 business days. It can take longer than that if there are any additional processing requirements in effect for the application. If the e-Visa application is approved, the applicant can expect to receive the Turkish e-Visa via the email they provided on their application.
It is recommended that the traveler keep a soft copy of their e-Visa application on their phone/handheld device when they travel. However, the traveler will have to take a printed copy of the e-Visa with them when they travel as they will be required to present the e-Visa along with other travel documents to Immigration control officials at the Turkish airport/port of entry.
The Turkish e-Visa may allow a traveler a single entry or multiple entries into Turkey and may allow them a stay between 30-90 days. The number of entries allowed for the traveler and the maximum length of their stay in Turkey will be clearly specified on the traveler’s e-Visa.
