It should be noted that all foreigners traveling to Turkey are required to obtain a visa prior to making any travel arrangements. As such, the Turkish Government offers a variety of tourist visas depending on the different needs that people may have for traveling to the country. Travelers are, therefore, encouraged to look through the list of different tourist visas offered by the Turkish Government and select one that best suits their travel needs.

It is also worth noting that individuals/groups arriving in Turkey as transit travelers who pass through immigration to spend a night or two in the country will need to apply for an electronic transit visa for Turkey. The process of applying for an electronic transit visa for Turkey is similar to the tourist eVisa for Turkey and the application process for both has the same basic requirements for travel documents.

Once the online application has been filled out, the applicant will need to follow the online instructions to submit the application. After the application has been submitted it can take up to 3 business days for the eVisa to be processed.
