In 2018, almost 18,000 Bangladeshi nationals visited Turkey. This number has been increasing, while the trend looks set to continue in the years to come. When you look at what Turkey has to offer its visitors, it is not hard to see why so many travelers return to enjoy its many cities and touristic attractions.

Situated as a central point between Europe and Asia, Turkey is a large country that offers diversity. With a beautiful coastline, a very warm climate (particularly in the summer months), a rich history and good local cuisine, there is something to suit all visitors.

Further to this, there is an increasing number of commercial opportunities from both agriculture and industry, meaning more business travelers visit each year. Bangladeshi visitors for both tourist and business purposes are granted entry to Turkey and, in order to make this process more straightforward, the Turkish government has made some entry changes.

It has moved away from the traditional stamp or sticker-based visa that was previously required in order to grant entry and has moved to the Turkey electronic travel authorization system. For ease, this is also known as the Turkish eVisa (electronic visa).

There are 100 countries whose citizens can apply for this and Bangladeshi nationals are eligible for a Turkish eVisa. There is a specific visa for tourists and a separate one for business travelers.
